In G O O D company

We all have our blessings in life. 

One of mine occurred last autumn when I realized I am going to be a mother again!!!
My first trimester (3 months) went fairly fast. A heavy nauseated feeling kept reminding me of how undeniably pregnant I was. 

My first Ultrasound was scheduled to be around my pregnancy Week12. During the scanning the midwife inquired if we (my husband and I) could see anything "different" in the ultra picture. "Noup" - was our reply.

On that note, she announced, there were TWO fetuses growing in me!!!!

We could not conceal our J O Y!!!!! We both screamed as though we had won a Lottery Jackpot!!

25th pregnancy week. 

To train myself and my family mentally for what is coming ahead, I have registered our family with the Helsingin Seudun Monikkoperheet ry . Here we get to meet other families with twins and information about the experiences they have been through. I was also pleasantly surprised when during one of those information sharing sessions the doctor shared a slide set of famous persons with twins.
I could say I'm in a good company! :-)

The babies are estimated to arrive May 2013.

The Queen of Hearts 2013

Last saturday was crowned a new The Queen of Hearts 2013! 

Lovehandles was honored to be part of the event as an clothing sponsor for the winner.

All the finalists where given as a gift a Lovehandles bag with many sets of bangles.

About the Contest

The Queen of Hearts is a beauty contest for all international women in Finland. We are looking for a woman who can represent the new multiethnic Finland and serve as a role model for women and girls everywhere. 

Welcoming Women of All Nationalities 

The Queen of Hearts is an international beauty contest where it is the inner beauty of a woman that counts. The objective of the contest is to celebrate women of different nationalities based in Finland and promote values such as composure, compassion and confidence - the beauty from within.

We are looking for a woman who embodies these values and as The Queen, will represent the multiethnic face of Finland today! Women of all nationalities living in Finland are welcome to join the contest. Entrants must be 18 years old or over. 

Everybody Wins in The Queen of Hearts

There are no losers in The Queen of Hearts. All contestants will gain valuable experience and have the chance to take part in free stage training, not to mention the selection of gifts worth of thousands of euros. In addition to all this, the winner of the contest will receive a cash prize along with several product prizes from our partners. For the following year, she will represent the multiethnic community. The Queen will also get a chance to campaign for a cause of her choice under The 

Queen of Hearts Development Initiative.

The competition was held in 3parts. First introducing the finalists, talent part and then crowning the winner. We also had great entertainment among singing and dance performances.

And the winner is... Shristi Neupane form Nepal! She was also the audiences favorite.
